Howdy,

One hundred posts, not bad. Not bad at all …

Not quite a 100th episode or something of that nature, it’s true — nevertheless, the number is cool to see.

I can’t say that I have taken it as so important that I have anything premeditated for it, for Number 100. I mean when I think of something special for today, it’s because today we’re celebrating Titus Shalom’s third birthday (a little early, which I just figure is bonus! for him since now he’ll have another special day to come next week. Starting with a breakfast of a cereal of his choosing — a fun tradition carried on from my family. My brothers and I enjoyed that birthday box of cereal, and it seems our boys do too.)

But nothing particularly special for Number 100 itself. A week ago or so I titled #100 with a preliminary label of #100: Post 100! like it’d be a big deal. It’s more of a process, though, than a results accomplishment. Mainly 100 means to me that my consistency and follow through have been so much better currently than in some past attempts. Which would be worth celebrating — however I’m not stopping now to pat myself on the back … I’ve got to keep running.

I committed to 365 straight. So I’ve got a ways to go. Numbers 100, 200, 300 will all be great (epic, I’m sure), all the same I’m gunning for 365 and that’ll be a blessed day.

Today, though, is Ti’s birthday party. (Writing in the A.M. …) We’ve had a good morning hanging out, Ti and I, gathering party supplies, swinging into a pet store for a look at a Siberian Husky puppy (Sarah didn’t buy it that we were buying it but the little guy was cool and we wish him and his sibling pups good homes), snagging a Hot Wheels off the grocery store rack (a special day, indeed!), and jungling in the McD’s PlayPlace. Time for a Ti nap and more party prep without him …

(Writing in the P.M., post-party …) Little snafu with the food prep (but pulled through, all correctable — and edible — in the end: more food, matter-of-fact). Lots of great gifts and fun toys for Ti. And then I’d say … piñata!

It was a hit.

😉

Word count, or no word count, we’ve hosted a kid’s birthday party. I’m exhausted again.

Good night.
