Howdy,

I tell you what, kudos to Tim Challies and his 4,823 consecutive days of blogging.

I mean, seriously?!

It’s hard to keep up. Day after day, without a stop.

I’ll be blitzing to get back on pace with my word count (did some fiction work today, so that was good, but I’m still a little behind, and I certainly don’t want it to run away from me much further …), but the consistency and production isn’t a simple exercise.

This is an of course to say or hear, but, trust me (if you don’t already know yourself from a faithful hustle), you really begin to feel the challenge of maintaining against the fresh start of each new day (yesterday’s achievement and earned respite washed away) as mornings roll in one after another, some fun like a good body surfing wave for the swimmers, others super productive like a perfect wall for a surfer to Hang Ten, and some others less helpful but rushing powerfully, crashing in the night, and tossing a poor, drowning chap in head-or-heels tumbling against the ocean floor, when mashing dangerously into the bottom’s sand serves as the only time you know which way is up or down.

Get up and breathe.

And catch another wave, You Monster.

Well done, Mr. Challies.
