Howdy,
I am going to have some fun Christmas stuff to share, but today I feel too stuffed. Fuller than a sagging Santa stocking.
Seriously, I think I gained five pounds on Christmas Day and we’ve now got a few days of hanging out with the other side of the family with a whole new fabulous menu and sneaky set of side sweets.
I’m telling you right now I’m really padding my 2017 weight loss numbers. I’m building quite a baseline — or, hopefully, ceiling — for that graph. And I can’t even type baseline without thinking waistline. I’ll need a precipitous drop. Good times, these holidays.
They are good! Good family, good gifts, and good food.
Speaking of gifts, we did — just today — reveal to Jasper and Titus the gift Sarah and I have been so excited about getting to them, as communicated in other posts. BUT that’s part of why I don’t feel up to writing adequately about our Christmas yet: there’s a lot to digest.
And I already feel full.
Then another thing, not all the presents are even opened yet. Just getting started with the West, Prettol, and Hawes side, the Mariposa Christmas, after a great time with the Garman, Schuller, and Hawes Christmas Tree Lane Turlock Christmas celebrations. Lots of bleasing just to hang.
Both sides presented homemade cinnamon rolls for afternoon brunches. Thank you, Rebecca and Bethany. So good. Too good.
That’s all for now — gotta go help prep dessert. And see it all the way through.
Then the resolution–oh, is that a cookie?
